Julius Mihkkal Eriksen Lindi

Arctic and Environmental Unit, Saami Council

Julius Mihkkal Eriksen Lindi works in the Arctic and Environmental Unit of the Saami Council, currently based in Kárášjohka - Karasjok, Norway. He works as the lead on an independent Indigenous-led assessment and evaluation of Arctic climate interventions, partnering in phase II of UArctic's Climate Interventions project. Julius also contributes to the ACAP working group of the Arctic Council, currently serving as co-chair of the Indigenous Peoples Contaminant Action Program (IPCAP) expert group. He operates within the Saami Council’s role as a Permanent Participant to support cooperation and mutual contributions from other Indigenous Peoples’ organizations of Arctic Council on shaping a comprehensive, inclusive and rights-based assessment and evaluation. He has an academic background in engineering, having studied Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
