Gareth Rees

Scott Polar Research Institute

Gareth Rees is Professor of Polar Geoinformatics at the Scott Polar Research Institute, where he studies polar, mostly arctic, environments using – and developing - remote sensing and other technologies. He has spent more than a year in total living and working in arctic regions, mostly in Russia but also in Norway. Gareth and Sophie collaborate in education-focussed classroom and fieldwork activities.
